Why does a lesson show as unpaid?
A class still reads unpaid after money arrived — the four usual causes, in the order they actually happen.
In this article
An unpaid flag means one thing: the class completed and nothing on the student's balance covers it. Work down this list — the first two explain nearly every case.
The payment is still a pending claim
A transfer the student recorded is not yet money on their balance — it waits in your Payments confirmation queue until you confirm it. Open Payments and check the queue; confirming posts the credit and the class flips to paid on its own.
The money went to a different currency
Balances are kept per currency. A student billed in euros whose payment was recorded in dollars has two separate columns, and the euro class stays uncovered. Check the payment's currency against the student's; if one was recorded wrong, post a correcting entry rather than editing history.
The balance ran out mid-bundle
Bundles cover classes until the credit is spent — see how lesson bundles are billed. If the eighth class shows unpaid, count the classes since the last bundle: the flag is usually arithmetic, not error, and it is your cue to ask for the next bundle.
The class completed at an unexpected price
A class bills the price it was booked at. A rate change re-prices future bookings only, and a held late cancellation bills the late-fee percentage instead of the full rate. Open the class to see the exact amount it posted.
